Choosing the right tent can be an involved and difficult process if you’ve never been in the market before, but it doesn’t have to be so overwhelming. Just remember to keep the issues of size, accessories, and materials in mind. In terms of size, many tents are designated as a one-person, two-person, or any other number. Just keep in mind these numbers mean they fit that many people in close quarters. A two-person tent will just barely fit two people with little extra room.
You also want to guarantee that your tent has aluminum poles. Lightweight and durable, it’s your best bet that you’ll never have to replace your poles due to breakage. Another absolute necessity for camping tents is the right rainfly. You never know, after all, when the clouds could roll in, and if you don’t have a waterproof barrier between your tent and the rain, you’re in for a miserable night and overall camping experience.
